She sat at her chair not knowing what to say... this was the first time that either of them had been confronted with a situation like this. "Okay... "She slowly said. He could tell that she was contemplating her next words... She had the crease on her forehead that told him that she was thinking hard.

"I don't think I can go with you... "She looked at him with her blue eyes filled with tears. It wasn't like she didn't want to go with him, but there was something holding her back... A dark haired, brown eyed, lean, 6 foot 2 kind of something.

She looked at him, as realisation dawned in his eyes. He knew that in the end she would not go with him. Why would she. It was obvious, even before they got together that she was attracted to her partner and visa-versa... but she had assured him that they were just 'partners'. He tried to believe her... He told himself over and over again in his mind.. 'They're just partners'. He almost had himself believing it until he caught them in Angela's office.

Its not like they were doing anything wrong, but it was a look that they shared.. it spoke volumes to him. They communicated more in that one look, than what he ever could in their entire relationship. He knew then that they were more than 'just partners', even if they didn't know it.

"I understand" he found himself saying. He knew what it felt like to leave a loved one; after all he was essentially leaving her.

"Before I go, I want to tell you something" she nodded for him to continue..."promise me, when the chance presents its self.. Go for it. Okay?"

"I don't know what you mean" she said with a look of confusion on her face. "Maybe not now... Maybe not tomorrow, but you will... "With that he walked away...

She never found out what he meant by that, until one day she received a letter from him. It was an R.S.V.P saying that he would be there.. and on the bottom was scrawled.. 'Congratulations Tempe, I'm glad you 'went for it' you and Booth are made for each other'
