A/N: Ok, this is a Billy/Roxie fic, because Billy/Velma is totally WRONG WRONG WRONG! Haha, I got the idea for this one in the shower, it's weird I know, you don't have to tell me. Ok, here we go, enjoy and as always, REVIEW!
Roxie despised Billy Flynn, no, not despised, loathed. Yes, she loathed him, the greasy scum bag, he's a lawyer, and what's worse, he's a man. Just like every other man in the world, smug and sweet talking, then when they're done with you, they make you feel like you've fallen off a cliff. You're no longer the Goddess they made you out to be, no, you're the scum bag. You take all the blame, thinking that there was something you could have done to stop it, when in reality, there was no stopping the inevitable.
Roxie Hart was sitting in a night club, but not just any night club, she was sitting in The Onyx. Velma, her partner for her act, had taken a two week vacation and Roxie had nothing better to do. So, she sat in The Onyx with her glass pf scotch, watching the performances, noting the amateur mistakes of the wanna-be Vaudeville stars. She was criticizing them in her head when someone interrupted her thoughts.
"Well, well, Roxie Hart, aren't you on vacation? What are you doing sitting here, all by yourself?" Came the smooth voice of the last person she wanted to see at that particular moment, especially after the relationship with her fella ended just an hour before.
"Why Billy Flynn, no girls tonight? Or are you on your way to go round up a few?" Roxie replied bitterly. Billy smiled; satisfaction was present in his refined features.
"What's the matter Roxie, relationship problems?" He said, taking the vacant seat across from her. Roxie glared at him, wishing he would leave.
"That none of your business, Billy." Billy smiled again, having found the answer to his question.
"Ouch Roxie, I'm hurt, really." He said, laughing at the angry look she gave him. Bastard, she thought bitterly. She grabbed her coat and her purse, giving him one last cold look, before standing up and walking out, leaving him to stare after her, highly amused.
"Alright kid, two can play that game." He chuckled, standing up to go pick up his girls.
