Hello Everybody! It is a little drabble with 300 words... I guess my English's quite bad but I'm French and I'm twelve, I learn English since two years only...

It's a Lily/Severus... That's quite rare and I'm not crazy of this ship but I throught it was perfect for Valentine's day.

Dead but Alive

In fact, she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. Not just because of her face, but even her mind was sweet. Lily.

The flower with white petals... Pure, delicate, innocent.

She was his light.

He liked looking at her, when she was smiling at Griffindor's table. Her laugh sounded like a sort of song to him, a sort of lullaby.

But Potter... Again and again. She loved the seeker, so popular Potter... That's why he had always hated him. She was in love with James...

But he couldn't stop thinking about her. Her face, her smile, her body, her hair...

Lily Evans became Mrs Potter the next year he had fall in love with her.

Now, he's old, of course. His life is damned... His mind too. He's a potion teacher. He is hated by all his pupils, and even by everybody. He is nothing. He didn't really choose his side, and he probably won't. Everyday, he sees Harry Potter, the famous survivor, the one. And he feels guilty, like insane. He feels bad because Harry hates him, like James did. But James isn't in front of him, no, behind his desk he just can see Lily's emerald eyes which defy him. Even at the beginning, Severus hated Harry, even before he saw him. Just because he's Lily's child.

On Valentine's day, he is alone in his room. Guilty, ashamed. He knows he should die or something, but he can't. He's not brave... He isn't James. He's just Severus, just a Slytherin.

She always tried to be kind with everybody...

Always so sweet...

Lily, with white petals.. Pure, delicate, innocent.

And tonight... He can't thinking about nothing. He is just already dead. He just knows something...:

Yes, Lily's dead. But in his cold heart... she's still alive.
