A/N: I just thought I'd put this one up, given it's 'Tis the Season and all. :D Drabble challenge for fringeficfest LJ. Must equal 100 words.
Peter watched impatiently as Walter carefully unwrapped the small gift. His father seemed determined not to create a single rip in the colorful wrapping.
"Walter, just tear it," Peter sighed.
"No, son. You took the time to wrap it, I insist on taking the time to open it properly."
"Actually, I paid someone to wrap it for me."
Ignoring this, Walter continued the painstakingly slow reveal. Finally, the paper was off. Opening the lid, he blinked back grateful tears. A permanent bus pass. The present from his son was freedom.
Peter softly smiled. "Merry Christmas, Walter."
