Summary:

A sousaphone player and a tenor drum player. Who knew that it may work?

It was the last time she would see him, she was sure of that. Calling his name he looked up into her green eyes. Upon looking they turned to blue in a matter of seconds. Yes, he knew she loved him, yet he choose to play it off. Walking over to her he put on his characteristic smirk and shoved one hand into his band hoodie.

"What do you want Raven?"

"You know exactly what I want," she replied starting to feel a little unease with her plan.

"I've already told you. What happened that year was a mistake. I have no feelings for you."

Looking up towards the sky she inhaled deeply, mentally preparing herself for what was about to happen. Taking a step closer to him she started to whisper, "If you had no feelings for me then why do you respond so well when I do this."

At that she leaned in and kissed, in front of all the fans, the band kids, the football players, the cheerleaders, and the rest of drumline.

"I love you Jonathan."

"I love you too Raven."

For who could have thought that a quite, annoying, mild tempered senior Sousaphone player could have such an impact on an aggressive, tenor drum playing bad boy.

Unfortunately that is not what happened.

Looking up towards the sky I prepared myself for the tears that were forming as he walked away. Unable to stop him I knew that I wouldn't see him until graduation. By that point the pain had dimmed slightly, at least it had until I saw him by accident a few months later and all that love came rushing back.

But seriously, how could a Sousaphone player ever gain the love of a drummer?
