The flames burned like hellfire as they ate at Ash's skin. Not five minutes before, Serena's Delphox had been mind controlled to kill Serena, but now Ash had dived in front of her, sacrificing his life for hers.
"Ash!" Serena wailed as she saw the man she loved engulfed in flames. As Delphox fainted and Meowth cackled, Ash fell to the ground, twitching. Pikachu unleashed a deadly thunderbolt against the trio, but instead of 'blasting off', they fell to the ground. The thunderbolt was so powerful it probarly put them into a coma. Serena sprinted to Ash, tears running down her face. As she ran up to Ash, it was clear he was in a great deal of pain.
"Serena.." he groaned as he coughed up a great deal of blood.
"Serena.. there's something I need to tell you..." he nearly whispered, tears running down his face.
"I need to tell you.. that since we met.. I felt something about you.. I now know what those feelings were that.. I love you, Serena.." Ash whispered as Serena cried even more. She wasnt able to speak, so she nodded.
"I love you, Seren-" his words were cut short as he fainted and stopped moving. Just then, Clemont, Bonnie and Nurse Joy appeared. Then, they all said three words can change a life.
"I'm so sorry."
