Light's Last Stand
In school they always told us the light would always prevail, that if we stood for the light we could never be defeated...They lied.
We have slowly been driven to this point, we were destroyed at every encounter, and every battle ended the same way in utter defeat.
I suppose the first one had been the battle of the Ministry, the entire Auror force had made their final stand there…they were over run in fifteen minutes straight.
Once the ministry had fallen, the bastions of the light side were quick to follow, falling one after another until the only remaining stronghold was Hogwarts, protected by the ancient wards the castle became the only remaining stronghold of the light.
The light side families retreated to Hogwarts as quickly as possible, but not all were lucky enough to survive the retreat. The most vicious and bloody fight of the war was the Battle of the Burrow, the entire Weasley family joined by me and Hermione attempted to make a stand there…we failed.
The entire Weasley family was destroyed; they didn't die in vain though. We managed to deal a fatal blow to the dark side. The Malfoys, Lestranges, Carrows and Snape were all taken down, me and Hermione only just managed to escape with our lives.
What we didn't know at the time was that the entire dark army had attack Hogwarts at the same time, lead by Lord Voldemort himself, and the families of the light fled in terror scattering to the four winds and going into hiding.
Once again we retreated, when we arrived at the last fall back point of the light…Potter Manor, We were shocked to discover that only two people of the entire light army of Hogwarts remained, Albus and Remus.
I guess that brings us to this point, the outer wards have just tripped…the dark army is here.
Win or fail, I am Harry Potter…and this will be our last stand.

This is a small portion taken from the journal of Harry Potter, found in the remains of Potter Manor, where the last great battle between the light and the dark took place.
I have written this book so that the courage of those who fought for the light will never be forgotten, my husband Harry, myself, Albus Dumbledore and Remus Lupin made our final stand at Potter Manor against the dark armies of Lord Voldemort and against all odds we finally won a lasting peace for the light.
For all our combined power we knew there was only one way to accomplish our task and it would take our complete sacrifice to succeed, as the armies of the dark attacked; me and Remus protected Albus and Harry while they combined there power; forming the largest magical backlash explosion in history. They sacrificed their lives and magic to deal a final complete blow to the dark side.
Harry, even in his final moments of life before they unleashed the magical explosion that completely levelled the dark army; and a 30km radius around the town of Godric's Hollow. He was noble until the very end; his final act was to port key me and our unborn daughter to safety.
