Running

Hi.

First HP story I've ever done, and I know that Katie wouldn't ever do such a pathetic thing, but her heart shattered and if she hadn't done so, I would have no story at all. Here goes!

Disclaimer: I do not own (takes deep breath) Katie Bell, Fred and George Weasley, Lee Jordan, Alicia Spinnet or Angelina Johnson. Oh, and the Burrow.

Katie was running.

Running from him.

He was the one who had kissed that sixth year. He was the one who had cheated on her. He was the one who had broken her heart into millions of little pieces. She ran faster and faster.

He tried to call her back, but she just kept on running, leaving a trail of tears behind her.

Before she knew it, she was running down the dirt path to the Burrow, her second home. She ran slam into Fred's arms, startling him slightly, but he accepted it and comforted her.

He apparated to her temporary room after picking her up bridal style and put her on the bed. He consoled the usually laughing girl after sitting down on the bed, vowing to kick him in his manhood so hard that he would have to pee through a catheter for the rest of his life. That comment alone had brought a brief smile to Katie's face. Fred smiled slightly and stroked her hair, continuing to comfort her.

Katie sat in Fred's lap and cuddled up to the 18 year old. He kept on stroking her hair, and by this time, she was only sniffling slightly. He carried her and lay her down under the covers, kissing the half-asleep Katie on the forehead.

He began to turn away when Katie said, "No. D-don't g-go…" She whispered. "Please, Fred, don't l-leave me." Fred nodded and slipped under the covers next to her. They both fell asleep promptly.

The next morning, George and Lee went to wake Katie up with a scare. However, they saw Fred in the bed as well, arms wrapped around Katie protectively. Katie herself was cuddled up next to him, like a pitiful little girl.

Alicia and Angelina leaned against the door frame. "Wow, Ange that was a great idea you had. It only hurt Katie a bit, and besides, she's got her Fred to comfort her, and goodness knows that she and Fred were meant for each other." Angelina smiled and did a hi-five with Alicia.

Wow. Interesting, right? No. But it's okay if you don't like it. Review please. Oh, and right now I'm using this crappy computer to type up this story 'cause I'm in my grand-uncle's house and you can't watch TV there, 'cause they only have Chinese channels. Whatever. Review.
