Title: Alike
Pairings: Scott/Jean/Wolverine/Rogue/Bobby
Author's Note: This has been on my mind for a long time, and now I decided to put words for it.
Bobby and Scott were alike in many ways.
They were the types of guy that every girl should have a stable relationship with. They were the cute, tender, good boys, trustworthy honourable men who promised a safe future to their girls. They loved with passion and gave without needing anything in return. And for some reason, both of their girls had their eyes set on another person. The same person, even. And the question kept coming up in their heads; why did they stay?
Scott and Bobby were alike in many ways.
They both tried so hard not to show their jealousy when whenever Wolverine walked into a room, their girlfriends turned toward him with an inviting smile. They both stood by and watched as he stole their girlfriend's heart more and more for every day that passed without even thinking about doing it. And they never said a word – for if they ever confronted Jean or Rogue about it, wasn't there a bigger chance that they were going to loose them?
Bobby and Scott were alike in many ways.
They were both afraid of loosing the love of their lives. So they looked away instead, pretending that they didn't see the flirting with the other guy or the guilty glances they were given. They kissed their girl and told her that they loved her, and for the tiniest moment it even looked like their girl loved them back. They were given a smile, a hug, a kiss. But not the heart. The heart had been taken. But they were afraid of changing what they'd, it seemed like, always known. They were afraid of the emptiness. So afraid that they just wouldn't. And they couldn't even hate Logan for it.
Scott and Bobby were alike in many ways.
They both ignored what was right in front of them, because they knew that, whatever happened, their girls would always return to them again.
