This is the result of staying up past midnight and writing Chapter 11 for my Collection of Jaya thing. If you want to know where this story came up from, then go to the collection and read Chapters 10 and 11, it'll explain some things. Actually, this is kind of the sequel to those two chapters, so you might want to read it anyways before continuing onto this, but if you don't want to, then that's perfectly fine...but warning, you might get a little lost if you don't.
I do not own Ninjago in any way, shape, or form.
(Cole's POV)
I stared up at the ceiling, my hands tucked behind my head. I was thinking back to what Jay said about doing anything and everything to protect Nya, even if it meant sacrificing his own life to save hers. As he was saying all that, I found myself looking at him in a whole new light. We often made jokes about Kai's reaction to them kissing and the way Jay had a habit of tripping over his own tongue whenever talking to Nya, but now I was starting to see exactly just how much she meant to him...and him to her.
I rolled onto my side, still thinking. Deep inside me, as Jay was talking, I found a different part of myself being woken up by his words. I didn't really even know of that part until then, and I felt myself become different. Jay opened my eyes to seeing things in a completely different perspective, and I caught myself thinking about that movie, Braveheart. For the sake of one woman, William Wallace waged war against the English. Okay, so it was probably because of some other stuff too, but that's just what it seemed like to me, okay? But was Jay really willing to do that?
Wow, you're going to keep yourself up with thoughts like this, Cole, I told myself. Now calm down and go to sleep. You have a busy day ahead of you.
(Jay's POV)
I couldn't fall asleep for the life of me. I was too pumped from what I said that I couldn't calm down for the life of me.
I meant it, every single last word that I said. I didn't care what the cost was, as long as it meant that Nya would be safe. For her, I would carry the sky on my shoulders and never back down from it.
Heh, you're over exaggerating, Jay, I thought. So you won't need to carry the sky on your shoulders, but...
"But I would gladly take a thousand bullets for her." That flashed through my mind, and I simply shrugged and flopped over onto my stomach. It was true, of course, but that doesn't mean that if it ever came down for it I wouldn't be afraid. Heck, I'd be terrified, but for her instead of me and...You're sounding like Kai, Jay. Calm down, shut up, and go to sleep.
I don't know how this was, so feel free to inform me via review what you thought of it.
Review, have a good day/night, and till next time, I'm out.
Bye! :)
