This is a one-shot that I just had to write. Hope you like it and please review!

She stood alone on the dock, watching the Northwestern pull out of port in Seattle, Washington. She wrapped her arms around her to try to warm herself. The breeze coming off the water was chilling her to the bone. The other family members were standing some distance away, waving to the guys on the deck. It was time again for King crab season and the Northwestern was on her way to Dutch Harbor, Alaska to answer the call.

At least he will be home in about a month or so. King crab season doesn't last as long as it used to. I have to make sure to check the weather for Dutch and see what the Bering Sea is going to be like.

As she waved to the crew on deck and a certain captain in the wheelhouse, her heart grew heavy. It was so hard to see him leave for the crab season.

I miss him so much when he's gone. It seems like we don't have a lot a time together. I wish he didn't go, so he could spend more time with me. But I know him, he loves fishing. He's not going to leave it until he has to. I love him so much that I can't make him quit something that is in his blood. He means so much to me; I can't imagine my life without him.

The Northwestern glided across the water, beautiful in all her glory. Her husband was one of the best captains in the fleet. Yet, the same feeling of emptiness grew inside of her, threatening to overtake her.

Come on Kristina, get a hold of yourself! You go through this every time Sig leaves port. It's just nerves. You're always nervous at the beginning of the season. But he always comes back and he defiantly makes it up to you.

Kristina Hansen smiled to herself at that thought. Yeah, the man defiantly knew how to make her weak at the knees!

She stood on the dock for a little while longer, the Northwestern no longer in sight. She sighed before turning around and heading to her car. She had to go home; the girls would be home from school in about 2 hours.

I'll call him tonight, I know the girls will want to talk to him. Then I can tell him to have a good season and that I love him.

Kristina Hansen smiled the whole way home. Yeah, she loved that crazy fisherman that was her husband.
