A/N: Hi there! This is just a small story that popped into my head. It's my first story on ! I might add an extra chapter or keep it as a one shot depending on what people want. Anyways, enjoy!

One man stood alone in the desolate cemetery. The frigid winds swept his light brown bangs to the side. Said man was Light Yagami and he was visiting the grave of Naomi Misora. Her body had been found a month prior, drowned at the bottom of a river.

Considering Naomi had no known family or close friends she had simply been buried, courtesy of the government, in a cheap cemetery. She had not even been given a proper funeral. It was also evident, considering how ill-maintained the grave was, that no one had visited her.

It was almost laughable that the first visiter to come, after the entire month she had been buried there, was her murderer.

Light had not brought any flowers to honour her, he did not say any prayers and he certainly did not apologize for killing her. The teen simply stood there. It was impossible to tell why he had bothered coming in the first place. The most likely reason would be that even though he had murdered her in cold blood, Light still had some human empathy and believed it unfair for her to be so lonely. Of course that would just be speculation, it would be impossible to tell what was going through the complex mind of Light Yagami.

Light shivered, the air this evening was chilling him to the bone. Even so he did not leave, the young god just continued standing there, in the same place he had been standing since he had arrived. Another speculation for his reason of being here could be that he was congratulating the woman on keeping her body hidden so long.

Maybe the reason was simply remorse? That was doubtful, the teenage boy would never regret his sins.

No matter what speculations anybody would make, his reason for standing there that evening would never be known. With a quick glance at his watch, the hands telling him two hours had passed, Light turned away from the grave and began leaving the cemetery.

All of a sudden he stopped, halfway down the path leading to the exit. The boy turned and stared at Naomi's grave for a moment.

"Illam in Spiritu Sancto" whispered Light in perfect Latin before turning back and continuing on his way. Maybe Light had held some sort of twisted respect for the woman?

As he exited through the iron gates Light straightened his shoulders and said, in a much louder voice than before "Deus ego sum".

The way Light said those words sounded as though he was trying to convince someone of something. But who could that someone be? He was the only one in a twenty foot radius and most likely one of the few in all of Japan who spoke Latin.

A/N: Sorry it was so short, I felt if I made the chapter any longer it would ruin the story. By the way the first thing Light says means "rest in peace" and the second thing he says means "I am god". I don't speak Latin and simply used google translate so sorry if the grammar is incorrect. Thanks for reading and remember to review. If people want me to I'll continue the story, otherwise it'll just stay a oneshot.
