me: a random one shot I thought of

disclaimer: dont own sadly...

Konan always loved the rain in Ame. Not many knew this but, Pein, the leader of Akatsuki and Ame, used the rain for his own reasons. The chakra infused rain could tell when someone left or came in. He could trak anyone, just by making it rain.

The blue haired woman sighed. They were expecting someone, hence the sheets of rain. It pounded on the roof and windows of her small house. On the outside rings of the village, she was the protector of her section. The southeren most edge of the land.

Many people also didn't know that the Akatsuki members were given a house, much like her's, to live in. They did not have to pay, just as long as they protected their assigened land. Pein loved his land, he put so much work into saving it.

"I wish you would come home." Konan whispered sadly. She was his paper angel, the angel of a god. She missed the Nagato she used to know. The Paths were nice, but they couldn't replace the hole the real Nagato made.

She sighed and shrugged on her cloak. The black background and red clouds swished with her every movement. She moved quietly outside, the door clicked behind her. She smiled lightly and looked up.

Cupping her hands she caught some rain. It ran down her fingers and pooled in her hands. Dispite the dark, she could she herself reflected when she leaned over. Moving her hands apart, the caught water dripped to the already wet ground.

"Please, just come home Nagato. I miss you." She spoke to the rain. She knew he would hear her, he was a god after all. He sent his Paths to collect a ninja with experiance in the ways of the Renigann. One that knew how to remove the chakra rods from his back.

She moved towards the center of the village. As protectors of the village, the Akatsuki had to enforce rules made by Pein. From what she heard, the Akatsuki was like the Uchiha Police Force, before Itachi had killed them that is.

Her ring grew hot. The kanji for white started to glow. Making a dim light in the darkness from the rain clouds above. A faded chakra line streatched out from the ring. It went north, right to the middle of the village.

She frowned as paper peeled off her form and morphed into butterflies. The water did not bother the paper creations as they moved forward. They flew in a large tower-like building. She reformed and her eyes landed on the shadows.

"Yes Nagato?" Konan asked. Steps came closer to her, a figure coming out of the dark. She gasped. Nagato, long confined to the mechine, walked without it. Perfectly fine, no scars, no hunched back.

"The nin I sent for was wonderful, after a small convicing action." He chuckled and reached out for her hand. She let a small smile show as she took the offered hand.

"I'm happy." Konan said. "You can now walk without it. But, what about the Paths?" Nagato chuckled again and motioned to a cornor. The blue haired lady's eyes landed on a triangle of bars.

"I had them set up so I could sit and control them." He said. An understanding look passed her features. Nagato tugged on her hand. She simled and hugged him.

"Finally. You can come home now." She whispered in his ear. He kissed her temple and nozzled her cheek.

"Yes." He whispered back.
