I haven't actually seen the series. Just saw a clip where they doctor and Rose are standing on each side of a wall and thought it was so sad!

Back and forth in time on a journey they'd never thought would end. Then the Darlek's and the Cybermen had arrived. And she'd been sucked into the void between two universes. Trapped forever in a universe parallel to his. She was dead there and she might as well have been dead here.

She punched the wall hard like she was attempting to break it, as if breaking the wall could bring them together again. It couldn't, she knew. He was gone. She'd thought they should be together forever. And now they were parted, both alive, forced to live in different universes, spending the rest of their lives longing for each other.
