Hi it Dappledvine. I dont own Captain planet if i did Gi and Kwame would be together.

Gi looked around the forest she was in. It was lush and green. She could hear a stream in the distance. The air was fresh and clear. She looked at the sky it was blue and the sun shone bright not a cloud in sight.

She heard the snap of a twig behind her. She turned and saw a doe and a young fawn still with its white spots race past her. Their eyes glazed with fear. The caw of birds filled the air as many flew over head in the same direction the deer where heading. Other woodland animals raced and flew past her.

Gi looked in the direction the animals had come from. She heard a new sound in the air, a harsh crackle. There was also some thing new in the air, SMOKE! "FIRE" Gi shouted to no one In particular. The Red flames rose before her engulfing the bushes and trees in front of her. "Water" The young Asian shouted pointing her ring hand at the growing inferno.

Nothing happened. She looked at her ring. The aqua blue ring wasn't there. She gasped, but choked on the heavy smoke. She turned and ran in the same direction as the animals. Her heart pounded against her chest. Her left ankle caught on the root of a tree.

Pain shot through it. She collapsed to the forest's floor. Gi pulled her left leg to her chest and clutched her ankle. She squeezed her eyes shut in pain. Her ankle was defiantly injured.

She tried to stand, but fell again as she put weight on it. Before she fell to the ground something or someone caught her. She looked up to see the familiar face of Kwame. She couldn't help but smile. "I've got you Gi" He said helping her stand. She leaded on hem to keep weight of her injured ankle.

The flames now roared behind them. They had to travel slowly and they could tell the flames were near. They made it to the stream Gi had heard earlier. The side the water and earth planteers where on was lower ground than the other side. "Earth" Kwame shouted pointed his ring at the other side. A slide of rocks tumbled down.

Kwame helped Gi cross the stream and up the rocks. Gi sat on the other side and rested her ankle positive they where safe from the fire. Kwame walked near the edge watching sorrowfully as the forest was consumed.

Gi looked up from her ankle to see the ground crack below his feet. "KWAME" Gi Shouted. Kwame turned just as the ground fell and dragged hem with it. Time seam to freeze at Kwame fell. Gi managed to get to her feet and limp over to where he had stood a moment before. She looked over the newly formed edge at the tumble of rocks.

She looked for hem but couldn't see anything in the tumble of earth. Nothing stirred, nothing moved. "No" she whispered. Tears formed in her eyes. "No. no, no," She cried the tears spilling out and running down her cheeks.

Gi bolted upright, gasping, from her sleep. She was in a cold sweat. She looked around her room in the girls hut. She clutched the locked she wore around her neck. Tear lines streaked her cheeks. She tried to steady her breathing.

She looked over to the night stand next to her bed. On it was a lamp, an alarm clock, and a picture. She picked up the picture still holding the locket. She smiled at the picture it helped clam her.

The picture was of her and Kwame. It was taken after one of there missions. The other planteers took it for them. She had the same picture in the heart shaped locket. She was glad that Kwame was still there with her.
