(A/N: This was inspired by the Wicked stories by TheGirlDefyingGravity. You should read them-they're really good. Enjoy!)
Guilt
Nessa was guiltier than anyone ever knew. She killed her mother-how could she not feel guilty?
No one ever saw the guilt she felt, though. It was hidden behind her father's love for her, and her "tragically beautiful" face. Her guilt just ate away at her secretly.
Boq made Nessa forget. That was why she liked him so much. When they were together, she didn't feel the guilt consuming her. When she was with him, she wasn't the girl who killed her mother, she wasn't the girl who couldn't walk, she was just Nessa.
She liked being "just Nessa."
Being "just Nessa" was better than being guiltier than anyone would ever know.
And Boq was the only person she knew who made her feel that way.
(A/N: My computer has issues with the name "Boq." It keeps telling me that it should be in all capital letters. I don't know why. Reviews are love!)
