Prologue
I've been flying this Junker for 10 years now, 10 whole years! That's 365 times 10! Anyways now that I have emphasized the age of my ship and the fact that I've been on it for a while, I'm Atlas; a freighter originally from Kobosh. I grew up poor, and I'm still poor to this day; so I guess you can say nothing's changed. When I turned 21 years old I joined up with the inter-galactic trademark. The stories I had heard from the diner, from pilots and other freighters were so intriguing and fascinating. I quit my job as a dish busser the day I hit eligibility, but sometimes I regret it and wish I only listened to the stories. Out here in deep space anything can happen, for example: Pirates, Bounty hunters, Riguls, etc, etc. The dangers are far greater than the safeties. Then on the other hand it's kind of an adrenaline rush like no other to have your ship being blasted at and racing through and asteroid belt and trying to escape with your life, and when it's all over it's an accomplishment that feels so great. I sometimes wish though that I didn't leave because of the feeling of homesickness is far greater than expected. I miss my family, friends and even the small folk's people of my home town. I miss the ground more than anything though, lots of times when we unload the ports we fly to have their own unloading crew and we just wait for the man to come into the cockpit and hand us our share of the stock. In short, I haven't walked on solid ground in over 6 months. The cons of space travel and freighting can sometimes out weigh the pros, and vise versa. Enough about me and my sadness let me introduce my crew. Our engineer is Myra, a young Twi'lek I picked up from Kashyyyk about a year ago; she's the longest engineer I've had. My co-pilot is Rex he's a joy to have, and that's not a joke. We can be in space fights or evading a pirate ship and his face is always the same, and he's got the best one liner ever. We grew up together but he's 2 years older than me and joined when he was 18, before the age limit was raised. Last but not least Turk, our gunner. Technically we aren't supposed to have one on board but he's a great shot and has saved our asses plenty of times. We also have three droids. *loud explosion* make that two droids.
Look you get the basics of what's going to go down so just sit back relax and enjoy the great adventures of me and my crew.
