"Hey, Remus, remember the first time we met?" Severus asked the love of his life.
"Yea. It was right under this very willow. Our tree." Remus answered with a smile and a light kiss on his boyfriends lips.
"And all those years, I thought you hated me." Severus commented. Remus brushed the hair out of Snape's eyes.
"I never hated you. That was James and Sirius."
"What about Peter?"
"I have no idea about him."
"No one does." Severus laughed and kissed Remus once more.
Remus looked out over the water. "I don't know what my friends would do if they found out about us. I mean, they know I'm gay, but they don't know I have a boyfriend."
"And that boyfriend is me, the greasy git." Snape looked down, sad. Remus tilted Snape's head up to face him. "I don't think that. I love you." Severus smiled. "I love you to."
Remus returned the smile. "Forever."
"And always."
They sat together like this every time they had a chance. But, when school ended, they drifted apart. They would still look at each other and smile, remembering the great times they had. But, they never touched with the spark that was once there. They never kissed with a passion that left both of them breathless. They never knew each other were dead. Until the Battle of Hogwarts, and they met on the other side...
