It was a late Friday afternoon at the tennis courts. Ryoma exited through the gates of the tennis courts. He was sweating and he was very tired. Sakuno walked up to him.
" Ryoma-kun, um would you like to um…go get something to eat with me", Sakuno stuttered.
"Mada mada dane", Ryoma responded.
"Um, is that a yes or no", Sakuno asked.
Ryoma looked up from his cap. "Sure, I'll go with you", Ryoma said.
Sakuno blushed from joy. She smiled and said, "Ok Ryoma-kun let's go." Sakuno and Ryoma started to walk towards a burger joint. Half way through the walk towards the burger joint, Ryoma laced his fingers with Sakuno's. Sakuno nocticed and blushed from the surprise.
Once they got inside, they ordered two milk-shakes and two burgers. After a couple thirty minutes, Ryoma and Sakuno left the burger joint. It was dark outside. Sakuno thanked Ryoma for a great time and started to walk off home but was taken by surprise by Ryoma holding her back from the hand.
"Where are you going", Ryoma asked, looking into Sakuno's eyes.
"Well, I was going home. Why", Sakuno asked.
"I could walk you, so that you have a safe trip back home", Ryoma offered.
"Oh.., thank you, Ryoma-kun", Sakuno replied.
"It's no big problem", Ryoma responded as he looked at Sakuno's hand and held it with his own hand. Sakuno didn't blush in rsponse but lightly tightened her hand around Ryoma's hand.
They walked all the way back to Sakuno's house. Sakuno once again thanked Ryoma for the walk back home. As Sakuno was about to enter the house, she was turned around to face Ryoma.
"Ryoma-kun wha----", Sakuno was cut off from Ryoma lightly kissing her on lips.
"That is my 'thank you for a great time',too", Ryoma said, smiling.
Ryoma said good night to Sakuno and walked off into the night, towards his own house. Sakuno widely smiled before running into her house.
