Chapter 1
"Stop calling me a Idiot!" I shouted at J for the tenth time today. He calls me a idiot every day. "J" I try to reason; " I;ll catch you a deer if you will stop calling me a idiot this week."Ok" Thats all he says before he sits down on a low tree branch. So there I go try to find a deer. I haven't even had a drink yet. I had just caught a bird when I heard them "Run " I shouted to J, he didn't realise why I was running until he heard them to. By then it was too late, I heard him go down. I knew that I had to keep running. There was the noise of maybe twelve people running. they have never found us before.
I don't know how they found us. Someone must have leaked we are. Now i'm almost to the border, the border keeps the humans from finding us, they can only see us when we aren't by another vampire. Oh in case your wondering J stands for Jake. Vampires only call each other by their first initial. My name is A it stands for Annabella. I'm now over the border but I keep running until I reach town center. When I reach the center I yell as loud as I can "The Snatchers found us!" All people in hearing range stopped. Then the Leader walked out of town hall and said, "A this is no joking matter. Now where is J? He went hunting with you right?" "He was caught by the snatchers. I heard them first so I got away." I said talking really fast. "They got him!" By now I was close to tears and I never cried, I guess thats what told them I wasn't joking. "Ok, we'll try to find him but A, if Snatchers got him we may never find him." The Leader said.
"You have to try everything you can think of!" Now I was crying. While I was talking to the Leader my Mom walked up behind me.
