Zephyr has a friend who recently got into this series and she really liked this story, so it's getting posted. And if any of you happen to remember that time Zephyr wrote a FE:A story and said "I'm never writing puns again", uh... t-that didn't happen...
Wouldn't it be nice to write a Ladybug story longer than 400 words though?
"Hey, Plagg. What about 'catastrophe'? Have I used that pun yet?"
The tiny black thing flying around Adrien's room huffed in annoyance. "Maybe...? I don't keep track of them."
"Okay, well... what if the next time I see Ladybug, I greet her with 'How are you feline' and-"
"In the middle of fighting an akuma?"
"Nobody said we had to be fighting – or, well, that I had to be fighting."
"Timing issues aside, you had better be fighting. Y'know, responsibilities to Paris and all?"
and bother her while she's in the middle of a battle just to 'woo' her with a lame pun?"
Adrien turned back to the mirror, pretending not to remember that Plagg occasionally brought up some really good points... even if he spent more time stuffing his face. The blond-haired boy was almost disappointed that his father hadn't even noticed his "new found obsession" with smelly cheeses like Nathalie had.
She hadn't mentioned it, but Adrien knew that she knew.
He tried on a playful smirk next, struggling to imagine what it would look like on Chat Noir's face – Adrien knew to fake confidence, but Chat Noir personified it.
"But whatever. It's your life."
Deciding that the smirk definitely did not make it look like he was trying too hard, Adrien crossed his arms and tilted his chin. Now that was starting to cross on the border of overdoing it. If he tried talking to Ladybug like that, she'd probably ask how he could still stand underneath the weight of his own ego.
"Just don't blame me once you realize you're wasting it," Plagg finished, somewhat annoyingly. Well, he was still a better listener than anyone else Adrien could name - which was why he tried so hard to ignore it when Plagg was being obnoxious.
"You're looking purr-fect today," Adrien spoke to the imaginary Ladybug that had just taken up residence in his room.
For some reason, it was easier to envision Ladybug than his own face as Chat Noir.
"And you're starting to look crazy," Plagg announced.
"Be quiet and eat your cheese."
