A/N: If your familiar with the game, have played it, or watched the movie parts on Youtube, you should know when this is.

I usually write Yaoi. I actually like Yaoi FFX pairings but I adore the cannon pairing, TidusXYuna so I wrote about it. It's a drabble.

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Final Fantasy or it's characters.

Tidus ran an unsteady hand through his hair, a rush of air gushing out into the night's still air.

A dream . . . a collection of stale memories . . . that's all he was. It was depressing, to think like that but it was true. Yevon, he loved her so much it hurt. Yet, he looked down at his arms, they were fading, turning translucent. His eyes traced them as they resolidified, grateful no one but her was looking, the others too caught up in the aftermath of all that had happened.

Disappearing, soon to be nothing but a whisper, trailing behind only to settle eventually, leaving not even an imprint. Still, he couldn't help but look at her. She was beautiful and never failed to take his breath away. It was hard, thinking soon enough he'd be gone, a mer figment. Somehow though, he'd meant all his promises, even now, every single one of them. He still did, though now it was a distant dream, never to be repeated. She had believed in him and did even now, not really expecting what he'd have to do next, even if she knew it would have to happen. He had no place on Spira, whatever he had been long since deceased. Whether he had been pure faythe, or a fareplane memory brought back to life, he had no life here.

He'd rest, even if all he wanted was her. He felt so resigned but restless. For a moment he didn't think he had the resolve but than . . . he took the first step forward without even really realizing it, eyes only seeing only her and what she meant to him.
