Title: Snow
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
A/N: Just a drabble and a half inspired by the snow outside my dorm window. This can be set at any time during the show. The quote in the summary has nothing to do with the story, but I liked it.

There were snow flakes clinging to her hair.

He was surprised to see her. He'd thought she'd left twenty minutes ago. He distinctly remembered her telling him that she was going back to the lab. He checked his watch.

11:48

Yup, twenty minutes.

He'd stayed behind. The pie was really good tonight. And she was planning on working anyway. He didn't need to follow her.

But here she was: standing outside the diner, staring up at the sky as small droplets of frozen water melted against her cheeks.

She was standing in the middle of the road, which is so like her. No thought to her own safety. He glanced down the road on either side of her and realized his paranoia was probably unnecessary.

The road was completely covered in heavy, wet snow and it was piling fast around his ankles. The lamp post near the diner's door cast a hollow glow on the white rounded edges of the world he's stepped into.

He snuggled further into his dark coat, watching her, and realizing he was loosing feeling in his toes. He sighed in frustration: she wasn't even wearing gloves.

"Booth," she said softly, her voice carrying on the falling snow. He straightened, not entirely surprised that she knew he was standing behind her.

"Yeah, Bones?" he asked gently, his eyes dancing like the flakes fluttering around them.

She turned her head, meeting his gaze and smiling lightly.

"It's snowing."

He nodded.

"It's beautiful," she turned away.

"Yeah, Bones…beautiful..."
