Disclaimer: blah blah blah, it doesn't belong to me!
As me and my fellow Jedi stood proud on the tall, desert hill on Tatooine, the wind clawing at our brown cloaks as we watch the approaching clone army, I had one thought.
*Are we crazy?*
Jedi were peaceful, and we do not go into wars. And yet, now the Republic cheered us on, knowing that we, the lengendary fighters and protecters, are going to fight. Yippi for us. As for how I got to be a general Jedi (I have not even heard of such a position) I do not know.
The clones were still far away. A few miles. Plenty of time for us to prepare. I took a quick glance behind me. The two dark Tatooine suns shone on the grim faces of the 1,000 other Jedi behind me. They were beyond ready.
And yet, I wasn't. I couldn't lead them into battle.
There were Padawans, mere young padawans in this so called army! As young as 15, perhaps. Intent on protecting their Masters. Almost eager to prove themselves. Just like me. My own Padawan, too. Anakin paced at my side, wasting vauble energy. Oh boy.
I wondered briefly where the easy life of the Temple went, before all this stuff. When getting sent on diplomatic missions was about the most fun you can get. I sighed. The other army was close now. My heart thumped loudly. I felt a rustle as all our hands landed dangerously on the hilt of our lightsabers.
As one, they ignighted. Such a beauty, seeing the wave of colorful, powerful beams with the gentle hums. I felt a sudden surge in the Force as we all began to draw on it. Then I realized that I have never been with this many Jedi before. And yet there are still 9,000 more out there. We had created a huge suction in the Force. We were one.
I glanced over my shoulder to my brothers and sisters. One gave me a brief smile. Then I realized.
We are Jedi. We are one. We are one with the Force. We are one large family. Whatever happens, we will all go through it together.
So, with that, we, the protecters of peace, charged.
