A/N:I do not own StarCraft

Screaming, gunshots, claws, bullets… war. I myself have seen multiple battles that are near the same every time. War is violent, brutal, and takes no prisoners. In war with the zerg, the Third usually heads into battle with over 200 Marines and Firebats, 50 Reapers, and 10 Ghosts, as well as 6 Siege Tanks, and multiple air assets. Before we even hit the dirt we are encountered by Scourges and Mutalisks, and once we finally get to the ground we are encountered by Zerglings and Hydralisks. Later on however the ground starts shaking, but we do not scare, we raise our rifles up and ready ourselves for hell. Seconds later, the zerg swarm is upon us, Marines firing wildly, Firebats burning away, Reapers shooting their pistols and flying all over the battlefield, Ghosts firing off canister shots as if there is no tomorrow… which, if we do not hold our ground, there won't be. Two minutes into the battle, we have lost 120 Marines and Firebats, 20 Reapers, 2 Ghosts, and 3 Siege Tanks, but they keep coming, Zerglings fighting over dead Marines, Hydralisks picking us off with ease, Ultralisks trampling men like their not even there, and Guardians disintegrating men. "Air Support inbound! ETA, one minute" One minute… we will be dead in one minute, for we are all separated, scattered, spraying our rifles, quickly running out of ammo. "FALL BACK!" Fall back, how many times have I heard those words being said and how many times have we been in this situation, cutoff, surrounded, fighting to survive another second. What seems like hours later air support finally arrives, the zerg retreat, and we board dropships and leave the system. When we get back onboard the Battlecruiser all we get is a "Good job" and a "Sorry for all the men you lost" and with that, it's on to the next world… the next hell. But, although this is hell, this is also life, life for kids, moms, dads, governors, teachers, but most importantly, life for me and my brothers of the Third.
