When the Leaves Fall
Warnings: YAOI ALERT!
Disclaimer: Little me does not own Slam Dunk or ANY of the charas. They belong to Takehiko Inuoe, or better known as Dr. T...*grinz*
Dedication: Actually, nobody, except Winifred who nearly died when I told her I wrote a RuHana fic...*turns around to see Winifred's mouth hanging open and gaping at my little red notebook...AGAIN...*
I think the fic had better start soon. WINIFRED, SHUT YOUR MOUTH. A MOSQUITO'S GONNA FLY IN SOON.

The leaves have started to fall.
I lie in bed, and I think of the impossibility of the situation.
I love Rukawa.
I love his style, the way he runs his one-man show on the court, and his hair...makes me want to run my fingers through it.
And as I lie here, the doorbell rings.
I open the door and he is standing there.
He.
"Nani?"
"Can I come in?"
His head is bowed, and he is breathing heavily, and covered with a layer of sweat. I realise that he has just returned from the gym. Then I let him in. We silently sit in my room for a few minutes, me on my bed and he, in a casual position with his back against the wall. He looks down at the floor, trying to catch his breath. Then, I catch myself staring at him, for no particular reason. Suddenly, he looks up, and I lose myself in those black, normally emotionless orbs. But tonight, they are filled with a longing. Before I can comprehend it, however, his feelings are locked away again.
"You look particularly tired today."
"I couldn't play well because..." he stops abruptly.
"Because what?"
Rukawa gets up abruptly and says, "It's about time I left. Sorry I bothered you."
He tries to move quickly, but I know the way better around my cluttered house. He trips over the table leg, and in a flash, I am there, catching him as he falls.
"No, s-," Suddenly, something totally astonishing cuts me off.
Rukawa is kissing me?
We stay that way for a full minute, two boys just standing in the middle of a messy room. Then he breaks off the kiss *he* started. In a rush, he starts speaking again.
"I couldn't play well today because I couldn't concentrate...because I was thinking of you..."
Again, he abruptly turns and leaves the house. This time, I don't stop him, for I am standing shell-shocked, his taste still lingering on my lips.
And outside, the leaves still fall.

A/N: That was...interesting to write. I had to watch the silly tense though. Stupid me, why did I start writing in that tense? *wanders off as a frying pan, no SAUCEPAN, comes thonking her on the head* I'll never let a frying pan thonk me, it can go thonk CSY for all I care!
Anyway.
I THINK Rukawa's eyes are black; they might be blue, but...oh well.
Anyway, R/R please! And sorry Winifred...
