I don't like me

I don't like me.

I don't like that I'm not free.

To be who I am.

So this is my plan.

I will change me.

To be the person they want.

Not the person I need to be.

So I shall taunt.

Other people in the same boat I used to be.

The problem is I hate me more.

I remember how it used to feel,

To be taunted until I wanted to sink into the floor.

How it was to see them steal.

What self-confidence I bore.

So I'll go back to be the person I used to be.

I don't care if they don't accept me.

I'm tired of lying to myself.

Are you lying to yourself?

Please learn from my mistake.

Accept yourself for who you are.

And you will be happier by far.

Please don't be a fake.

Some things are meant to be.

So take things in stride.

I learned to like me.

Because I set aside my useless pride.
