Castiel had heard many things about Samuel Winchester, some of it was unbiased, a miniscule part good, but most of it bad.
He wasn't entirely certain what he'd expected the first time he met him, but it certainly wasn't what he saw. Young, bright eyed and eager, he looked just like any other human Castiel had ever seen. He looked like he'd just met his hero, and from some of what Castiel had heard, maybe he was.
He hesitated to grasp the hand offered him. There was just something… the tiniest graze across his consciousness about this boy. Something… odd.
