I know, I know - you're probably wondering where the hell a new chapter for my other story is. I'll tell you where: in the works. Yup, I'm still writing it because barely have time to get on the computer anymore. My sincerest apologies. To make up for it, I shall present you with a drabble I wrote for my RP account. The ending seems a bit shit to me, and I apologize for the length, but all in all I hope you enjoy it.
Have fun.
Beck could safely say that the most recent two months of his life were the best he'd ever had, and they'd only get better. It took him two semesters of thinking about asking his best girl friend Tori out to actually do it, on the first day of summer break. She said yes after teasingly commenting on how long it took him to 'man up,' which earned her a laugh and a kiss (one he'd been waiting a year for).
He wanted it to be classy, but fun, and not bourgey. After some searching, he decided on teaching Tori how to dance. Somehow he was able to remember most of the moves he learned in the salsa dancing class he took back at HA, so he managed to persuade Andre into letting him use his house (Beck moved into a dorm and that wouldn't have been enough room) and set the scene in his living room.
It was perfect, and soon after that date they had another; then another. He asked her to go steady – in those exact words – on the fourth date, and couldn't have been happier when she said yes.
His feelings for her during their relationship grew steadily. He knew what love felt like, and that's exactly what he was feeling only a month after their beginning. He didn't talk about the true extent of his feelings until a month after his realization of them, and even then it was an accident. They were walking to class one early morning and Tori was talking about the class they just left. She was so passionate about it, and looked immersed in what she was talking about that he just let it slip. "I love you," He said almost dreamily as he stared at her.
She stopped talking abruptly and looked over at him, a blush growing on her cheeks quickly. "R-really?" She asked, smiling.
He chuckled, a little embarrassed at what he just said. "Sorry, it kinda slipped out." He said.
"No, it's fine. I...I love you too." She said, ducking her head shyly and looked up at him through her eyelashes.
He grinned and kissed her, and tried to pour all of his love into it. She kissed him back just as tenderly, and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. They only stopped when a student catcalled in passing.
He rested his forehead against hers. "Ya know...I've never heard anyone reply 'really?' when someone says they love them." He teased.
She shut him up with another kiss.
