The oak table was cold across Daniels hand as he fidgeted with the forks that were on the dark silk napkin next to the sald. He had been at Castle Brennenburg for a season although recently he had stopped thinking of the passage of time based off the dreary never ending bleak that was outside of the Castle; instead the stark scarring happenings in front of him seemed to mark the weeks, he would always remember the young man that had been burned alive, limb by limb over the course of a week.

Alexander's empty stare was always a constant from across the large table. A maid came in put down a plate of roasted pork on top of a dark black lettuce and a red creame drizzled on top. He glanced at her to thank her but she was already set on the Baron with such an empty stare that I hadn't originally noticed of all the help in the house.

"Todays subject was quite monotonous" Alexander meandered.

"I must express my graditude for sharing such vast knowledge with someone as demented as I"

"One never really understands until they try themselves?"

Daniel took a bite of his dinner and considered the offer, until this afternoons testing and extraction he would have turned down the Barons offer. He always ended up with his stomache in the corner. The frail man that had been strapped to the ceiling. Alexander had strode into the room as if he were as young as I not the wrinkled man infront of us. The small razor in his hand came up and caressed the prisoners face bringing blood quickly to the surface. After an afternoon in the room the multiple tools strewn across the room, a whip, the iron rod next to the dwindling fire, a bucket of intestines that had been stuffed down his throat before the next instrument was struck upon his loose skin. The man was barely breathing and had stopped making any sound hours before.

Unlike in all previous experiments Daniel found that he was unrepulsed. He kept his eyes in fascination and intrigue. Pulling the Vitae was an art form that his colleague had perfected. The largest issue was As he was finished he dropped the final tool and turned to leave the room. Pausing at the door he turned to Daniel smiled and asked that he take him down and clean the room up.

Finally Daniel felt helpful.

This is my first ever story and I want as much critique as possible! This is hopefully going to be smaller compared to the rest :)
