Little challenge i found when i was boredd and couldn't resist doing when i found out i had ten minutes left of free time before i got out of school (which has officially started for me. Whoopie. *sarcasm*) Anyway, enjoy.

Jazz's question still echoed in the back of Maddie's head as she walked into the living room: "Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" Maddie had been going to try (and probably fail) at making dinner for her family again. The only thing she was good at cooking was cookies and fudge, and sometimes the occasional ham. Perhaps that was why her husband liked those three foods so greatly.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" The question came back, again and again. Jazz had been yet again defending that evil ghost scum, Phantom. She had shouted that at Maddie, aggravated her mother wouldn't even try to see from her point of view. When Maddie had abruptly stopped arguing, Jazz had immediately picked up on an invisible psychological trail.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" Maddie had not been ready for her daughter asking the question in a calm, sweet voice, like she was just politely curious, not like she was trying to get anything out of her. Maddie had almost been fooled, and when she realized what her daughter was trying, she was furious. She had sent Jazz to her room, where she wasn't allowed to come out even for dinner, and grounded her from reading any non-school books until Maddie told her she could.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" Jazz had turned angry. She had screamed at her mom and fled up the stairs. Before she reached the top completely, she threw a comment over her shoulder that had made Maddie's blood run cold. "I hang out with Phantom all the time, even help him. He is a MUCH better person than you will EVER be!" Jazz had hurried the rest of the way to her room and slammed the door behind her.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" It all made since now, why Jazz was always so protective of Phantom. Why Danny constantly skipped class and came home late with injuries from head to toe. It all seemed so obvious now, of course. Danny Phantom was Danny Phantom!

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" He was nothing more that a scandalous ghost, and he had deceived Jazz with lies. Even Maddie and Jack had been blinded! Gosh, she felt so stupid, she was oblivious when that sneaky ghost boy had been manipulating her family and tearing it apart. She though that was her fault.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyways?" Only Danny had seen through the lies! (Ha, bet you all though the Danny Phantom was Danny Phantom thing was a typo!) Danny had realized what that evil ghost boy had been doing, and probably had such a bad life because he put all his energy into taking the ghost boy down.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyways?" Maddie knew what she had to do. She had to destroy the ghost boy once and for all, and not rest until he was gone forever. She would bind herr family ever closer. Jazz would finally see the ghost boy for what he truly was, evil. Danny could finally focus on his grades again, because the menace would be gone, and she and Jack would once again be revered, because there was no cocky Phantom making them look incompetent.

"Mom, why do you hate ghosts so much anyway?" "Because," Maddie whispered, a tear streaming down her cheek. "I used to have two sisters."

I wish i could say that the ending part was planned. The thing about her other sister (cause we all remember the one with the rubarb and the divorce). I'm going to leave your imaginations to the rest, but feel free to PM or Review on what you think happened. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
