Fang
Hair, black as midnight
Powerful black wings propelling him through the air
he turns and looks back.
Back at me.
He tore out my heart and ripped it to shreds
Our eyes locked.
I saw a single tear; glinting in the moonlight, slide down his face.
His usually emotionless eyes were filled with tears.
Rock-hard face, softening
I was sure he would turn around, planting a sweet kiss on my lips.
But he didn't.
He just turned and kept flying
I sank to my knees.
A single sob filling the air.
My gaze never turned from him,
I saw him hover for a moment
as though he was deciding something.
He whipped around, flying as fast as he could toward me.
I wiped the tears from my eyes,
only for them to be replaced with new ones.
Though this time, they were tears of happiness.
He broke into a smile and hit the ground running.
He stumbled.
I ran to help.
We were lying on the ground.
He wrapped his strong arms around me,
planting a sweet kiss on my lips.
Just as I said he would.
