Each chapter features a elemental demon. Fire will be most likely excluded because it was included in the origin story. Pre-Dark.
Chapter One: Waves Of Panic
Enjoy! (:
The day I discovered changing into a Water Demon was a bad thing for me was a weird one.
I was at the shore, (a beach in the Afterlife) at sunset, the waves lapping at my bare feet. I wasn't dressed as I usually was, just a black tank top and red capris. I was depressed for some reason. I had actually taken the time for once to contemplate; to think everything over. Hoodwink ignored me. If I couldn't reach out to him how would I ever be able to make him human again? And my mom was gone just because of this goddamn immortality. All of this just sucked so bad but it was making me more sad than angry.
I decided to go for a swim. As I sank deeper and deeper I didn't swim. I was immortal so I could breath under water. What I didn't know was that I had a limit. I walked deeper and deeper, the blue surrounding me. Then I popped the surface and swam around for awhile. It was great. The coolness of the water helped me calm my head. I was swimming in a loop when everything went wrong.
I went under for no reason. The whole breathing under water thing up and went. I breathed in water only to have it choke me. I sank deeper and deeper, this time not in control. Thrashing wildly and trying to grab something when there was nothing. Then everything went black.
When everything was color again, I was still under water. Was I dead? But I was immortal, wasn't I? I emerged in a flash, the water spraying up around me. I was a Water Demon. I was alive.
A Water Demon was basically a blue humanoid with light blue scaly skin, dark blue eyes and sharp teeth. I laughed a robotic sounding inhuman laugh of relief. Imagine a cackling female Bill Cipher. That's what I sounded like. My hands and feet turned into water before twirling to the sea like mini cyclones. But it didn't drag me under. Then everything went wrong again.
I lost control. I began to fly around in a circle uncontrollably, the water around me mimicking my movements until I'd created a miniature water spout. I couldn't stop; the edges of my vision began to blur and the wind around me became faint static.
I tried to gain control. The water spout subsided slightly, and I painfully began to slowly fly back to shore. Land was my only chance. Being near water only intensified this madness.
I reached the fuzzy shore eventually, the water spout disappearing. I could see the blurry outlines of Mal and even Hoodwink running up to me, probably heard the racket. And then, like all these mishaps with me usually end, I passed out on the sand.
When I woke up I was in the Jack O House infirmary, bandages wrapped around my forehead, and arms. I tried to move but it hurt.
Hoodwink was in the room. What was he doing here?
"You changed into a Water Demon." No duh sherlock. "Do you know what caused it?"
"W-well…" I raised my right hand slowly to gingerly touch my forehead. "I was dr-drowing and choking on water a-and then I just f-freaked…" My words were slurred as I stuttered.
Hoodwink nodded and explained to me changing into a Water Demon would be chaotic for me because of my vampire roots. He took a long time but I didn't mind. For the first time ever, he wasn't ignoring me.
Phew. Done. See you on the flip side!
