A Fleeting Glimpse of Death is all You'll See

Prologue

Three years have passed since the daring incursion into Hueco Mundo. Aizen and his forces were driven back and were forced to regroup in the wake of the devastating casualties inflicted upon his ranks by the small guerrilla force.

During this respite from constant fighting all those who opposed Aizen and his insidious plans began to train. Ichigo Kurosaki, the great Shinigami-Daikou was among this number, with Karakura still sealed he cut off all his ties with his human life and began to hone himself into a divine instrument of destruction. For two and a half years he fought all comers, shinigami and hollow alike, only ever daring to rest once he could no longer move. With his mighty strength and enormous amounts of reiatsu finally under his control he is ready to take to the field of battle once more and as Aizen starts to move upon the Soul Society with his largest ever force only time and fate are certain. By the end of the looming battle, only one of the two shall remain.
