Summary: Halloween party at the SGC. Jack is less than happy about his costume...
"How did you talk me into this again?" Jack nearly whined.
"Look, it's only one night and everyone is going in costume."
Jack made frantic movements with his arms. "Daniel, I know that. It's the choice of the costume that I don't get."
"Don't worry, you look great."
"Yes, but a fairy? Why do I have to be a fairy?"
"Because the wings look sexy across your broad shoulders."
"Nuh-uh. Daniel, don't give me that. This is payback for making you wear those boxers and you know it."
"It could be, yeah," he said casually.
Jack sighed. "Okay fine. Wings. Why do I have to wear the dress now?"
"You need the whole effect, Jack, you can't wear the fairy wings without the matching dress, it just wouldn't look right." Daniel explained this all very calmly.
"I draw the line at the dress," Jack insisted, crossing his arms.
Daniel smiled at Jack. The fairy wings were pink and glittered and looked ridiculous on him. Daniel wouldn't admit it, though; he'd had this planned ever since Jack made him wear those boxers with all the little purple flowers on them. He had a hard time explaining those when they fell out of his locker on accident. He'd heard Teal'c mutter something about crazy Tau'ri garments.
"Stop, Daniel. Whatever is going on in that brilliant mind of yours, just stop." Jack knew that smile, it was Daniel's "scheming" smile.
"You don't have to wear the dress, on one condition," he paused holding up a finger, "put it on right now, for me, and then you won't have to wear the dress to the party."
"You promise?"
Daniel nodded. "But you still have to wear the wings."
"Fine, give it here." Jack grabbed the dress out of Daniel hands, slipping it over his head where it got caught on the wings. He forgot he had them on.
"Ja-ack," Daniel sighed as he reached up and tried to maneuver the dress around the wire. Jack's hands kept getting caught up in the cloth and Daniel was trying not to rip the fabric.
"Hold still, Jack."
"Daniel, it's stuck in my hair. Don't pull—Ouch!"
"I told you not to move!"
"And I told you not to pull!"
"It's off, it's off." Daniel tossed the dress out of the way.
"You and your ideas—" but Jack was cut off in mid sentence as Daniel's lips crushed into his.
"Forget the dress," Daniel whispered as he pushed Jack toward the couch. "I like you better with just the wings, anyway."
Jack wasn't fighting as he collapsed onto the couch, bending the wire of the wings as Daniel trailed kisses along his jaw.
"We have plenty of time before the party, you know."
Daniel grinned.
