To be needed, wanted, and loved,
It's what both of our lives lack
And because we don't receive them
It's hard to give them back
Our wish is one so simple,
That in this life we're needed.
But no matter what we do,
They only see conceited.
And doesn't everyone wish to be wanted?
To not hide in others shame?
To see with our hearts
Through everyone else's blame?
And above all, we wish to be loved.
Because love is the purpose of the life
So why don't we carry
Anything but suffering and strife?
So, maybe because we both suffer
At the scorn of our clan
We've developed similar hearts.
So, maybe just you and I can,
Pick each other up,
And give each other everything we lack.
And if we know it to be true,
Finally give love back . . .
