ONE:
Javey sighed as she leaned back on the tall billboard. She flicked her cigarette and pulled a new one out of the metal case with a pirate's symbol, a skull and clashing blades, on the front.
"The question that lies within, Is so hard to understand, It still tears at me, And in my dying breath, My heart holds no regrets, I wouldn't change a thing..." she lit her cigarette, singing along with the CD player attached to her dark green belt that held her baggy black jeans to her thin hips.
Someone shouted from below, she looked down and saw another police man looking up at her.
"Get down from there!" He hollered.
"My spirit begins to rise into the heavenly skies, Just to be shunned away by you, Now all I want is to die, no streets of gold in the sky, And I wash my hands of you."
The poliec officer walked off back to white squad car and looked back at the billboard. The mysterious person was gone. rubbing his eyes and shaking his head he called it in and got into his car. He looked down at his half empty bottle of 40 proof vodka and tossed it out the window.
She stopped running, she was already four miles from him and it had barely been a minute. She relit her cigarette and straightened out her arm warmers and skin tight black tang top. She a hand through her hair, cut three inches all around, tapered in the back and sides, dyed a catching red that faded to blue at the tips.
Javey sighed, snapped her fingers with the lit tip between her fingers and headed home.

"Where did you go?" Selene asked.
"Out," Javey said turning away from her mother.
"We agreed that no one would leave the house after ten, Javey it's past three in the morning. Your father is out there looking for you."
"No you decided that," Javey spun around. "You cant keep me locked up like a damned animal! You've kept me locked up for the better half of eighteen years mother! I'm not a child anymore!"
"You're our child!" a voice said sternly as Michael walked into the hallway.
Javey sighed. "I'm not a pup!" she hollered and ran up the stairs. She slammed her door, throwing the multipal bolts. She turned her music up full volume and looked out the window. The moon was setting, three shade till full. Her dull grey eyes dropped, on the forest line, something was moving. She narrowed her eyes as they adjusted, pulling in light from around causing her eyes to have an eerie glow.
He was crouched agaisnt a bush reading a slip of paper. He looked like a bureaucrat, or a New Yorker model for high name brand designs. His hair was perfectly cute, his nails were manicured, he wore a dark purple velvet shirt with black slacks and sheen, leather shoes. Javey hissed and pulled the curtians closed. She ripped open the door to her parents arguing about her again. They stopped and looked at her.
"Pfh," she slammed her door again and took a secret passage out. She heard her door open and she ran down the tunnel and out of the passage into the forest. She looked over her shoulder, the man jumped and looked at her. She hissed again and ran off faster then his eyes could track.
