Somebody stop me! Ok, it's only my second Supernatural fic, hehe, whatever. This was not planned, but Mystery Spot is my all-time favorite SPN episode. It just has the perfect amount of humor, emotion, and angst in it for me. I seriously rewatch it every weekend! (Sometimes more than once.) Anyways, I was just watching it (again) and this popped into my head, and since I already did a tag, I was like, "Hey, why not? It'll be short." So here it is. Please tell me what you think!

Grip
The owner of the Mystery Spot was obviously a nervous wreck. "Don't move...don't move!" He aimed the shotgun shakily at Dean.
Dean was still trying to calm the man. He slowly lowered his arms, "I'm just putting the gun down-"
BANG!
Dean was thrown back with a yell and a thud, and there was a split second of silence before Sam was rushing to his side. "Dean!" He gathered his brother in his arms, who was already gasping with quivering movements. "Hey, hey, hey." Dean's hand jerked back and grasped his brother's shirt.
Sam clutched Dean's shuddering form to him. No, this can't be happening, not now! He whipped his misty eyes around to the owner who had an aghast look on his face. Sam's own voice trembled, "Call 911."
In a state of shock, the gaping man murmured, "I didn't mean to-"
"NOW!" Sam shouted desperately before turning back to his shivering brother whose breaths came even more raggedly now. No, Dean! "Hey, hey, no...no...no, no, no, not like this." Sam didn't want to accept it—it was too soon, he hadn't had enough time with him!—but his brother was dying in his arms. Because of a misunderstanding, a freak accident.
Even in his dying breaths, Dean managed to look into Sam's eyes, fearfully and almost apologetically, trying to express all the things he couldn't say. His eyes flicked away sporadically, unable to keep the pain and cold from overwhelming him. Finally his eyelids drooped and his head lolled to the side as his breathing died away. His grip on Sam's shirt slackened and went limp.
"Dean..." Sam sobbed as he held on tighter to his lifeless brother.
