Number four in the Alphabet Soup series (see profile for more info). Now normally, I don't like Foreman at all, but I wanted to him a fair chance in a fic.

So...you know what a writer likes. Money? Yes, but you can't really give that to me. So reviews will suffice (:

Your past is something that sticks with you no matter how much you try to escape it.

He was brought up by good parents, and they had instilled the faith and the power of God into him. But the inevitable society was pressed upon him, and turned him into being like everybody else like him, meeting society's expectations.

They called him a delinquent. Juvenile felon. Car thief.

And oh, how his parents cried. "Eric, why? You're such a good boy!" But he couldn't answer why. He still wasn't sure why.

Now, even many years later after becoming successful, defying society's expectations, and moving away from the intoxicating environment, leaving everything and everyone behind, his past still followed him. It stalked him in shadows, determining his future.

He didn't feel as horrible as he should about his mother slowly losing her memory. Her past now was now a blank oblivion, forgetting her past and also his. He found this as the only way to escape the past. However, your past was still with others, so it was only a personal escape; but actually, that is all that mattered to him.
