My first foray into the Death Note fandom :3. I love love love this song--it's from the Disgaea OST and the translation means Tragic Marionette. :D

She may have well has been his slave as her tearful promises did naught to touch Light Yagami's ice-cold heart. Instead, they struck deep within the recesses of his vast intellect.
Misa Amane would be the first to bow low under his command, to do whatever he said. He could use her so easily, string her along like a kitten with this boyfriend thing. She would never betray him, never let him down; instead, she would follow in his footsteps like a well-trained animal.
Every god needs his pawns, after all.
So he allowed her to proclaim him as her 'boyfriend', even kissed her once to keep up the facade. To Misa, this was love. To Light, it was nothing more than a game of chess. She was the King's pawn, protecting him from the onslaught of the other side.
Easily bent to his favor, Misa Amane served him well. She was already on his side, in fact, already acting for him...like a puppet on a string.

There! A very angsty onesided MisaxLight. I prefer LxLight (XD I have a miniature version of their handcuffs, in fact C8) but this works for me. :3 I don't write a lot of angst, actually, so this is a bit different than anything I ever write.
