Olive Angel

Kevin Lally

And so it begins.

An angel appears, clad in olive.

He looks at the Earth.

It frightens the angel.

The world is ablaze with chaos,

The world faces extinction, decimation,

The wrath of God.

Rain pours upon the olive angel,

But not once does he get wet.

A cry goes out for an angel,

Someone needs help.

He wastes no time but to check his wings,

Before flying towards the source

Of the call.

It belongs to a young man,

His life fading too fast.

The angel sees him.

The angel remembers his purpose,

And uses it.

Sealing the man's life.

His time has not come yet.
