Tokyo Ghoul; Ghoul Hunter

They say history is decided by the winners. They say that the winner is the one that tells the tale in the end… Well I don't feel like a winner. I have lost too much for a small victory. I feel like this was a loss.

The thinker looked down on the red city, painted in the blood of men, women, and children. He adjusted his gas mask and removed it as he wallowed in the despair that he had caused.

In the end, I don't think there was any real winners.

He stands up on the edge of the clocktower and jumps down. His long hair falling fast behind him. His sclera turned black and his iris turned red.

I hate them all. Damn ghouls. Damn humans. Fuck them all.

The sun rose upon the city of Tokyo, gleaming its early morning shine on those awake, roaming the outside streets of the Urban Area, or on the right side of the skyscrapers. The screens on the buildings all displayed the same thing.

GHOUL HUNTER SAVES COUPLE IN THE TENTH WARD.

GHOUL HUNTER ASSISTS CCG CAPTURE OF THE SNAKE.

GHOUL HUNTER; FRIEND OR FOE?

Harro Kodima, a high school student, looks at the screens with a small smile. "Huh, he caught the killer in my ward." he acknowledges, "Can't believe I missed it!" he pouts to his group that follows him.

"It's okay Harro! You have seen him a lot anyways. You even have pictures of him!" a girl reassures.

"Yeah Harro, don't be down about it! You'll see him again some time! You always do!" a boy chimes in.

"Heh, thanks guys." Harro responds with a smile as the group of five continues walking. One of the two girls grabs his hand. His girlfriend, Ashina Marai.

Ashina Marai is a girl that suffers from Social Anxiety Disorder and Depression as a result. She relies on Harro to help her through most situations that involve people. Despite on how she looks down on herself, she is actually very intelligent and a great person to vent to.

This group of kids attend a night school, where attendance is not mandatory. They usually only go on Mondays to collect and hand in work, but sometimes they stop in to get a free lunch and dinner.

The streets began to flood with people. Harro's heart begins to race.

"H-hey can we get out of here?" Harro asks quietly.

"Yeah, sure." Ashina said with a smile. Everyone else nodded collectively as they pulled into an alleyway to escape the crowd.

Harro suffers from very severe Agoraphobia, or the fear of crowds. Which usually leads him to avoid being out in public in the day, to make his life even more hell when it comes to general comfortability, he also suffers from severe Autophobia, or the fear of being alone. He usually sticks with a small group of friends, as he does now.

Harro's heart begins to regulate as the group starts to sit in various spots in the alleyway.

"Mikari, what the hell are you doing?" Harro asks.

A short boy that sticks with the group is seen climbing up barred windows. "What does it look like I'm doing? I am climbing to the roof. I need to stay in shape if I am going to join the Commission of Counter Ghoul,"

Mikari Yumeno, an upbeat and very perceptive teen. He was brought up by his sister after his mother and father had lost their memories due to traumatic head injury resulting from a car crash. He always remains positive when with his friends. He aspires to become a CCG investigator. He smiles through it all.

"Hey, Hoka!" Mikari calls out. "Can you toss me a soda from my bag?"

"Fuck off and get it yourself!" Hoka pokes her tongue out at Mikari with a playful gaze.

Hoka Nokoribi, a childish freshman. She uses profane language and has a very fiery temper. She suffers from a strong Bipolar disorder, but no one would guess that she has it, because whenever her anger comes out, it's usually comedic. She aspires to be writer.

A soda seemed to fly into Mikari's hand at lightning speed.

"Thanks Koichi." Mikari stated, surprised by the precision of the throw.

"No problem." Koichi responded flatly.

Koichi is the oldest in the group. He has a relatively stoic personality, and only shows his emotions when debating or arguing. He doesn't have many goals in life, but he enjoys the time he spends with his friends. Admittedly, he doesn't really care much for Mikari and vice versa.

"So, what are we planning on doing toda-" Harro's question is interrupted by the sound of two thuds on to the ground. Mikari gasps as he falls to the ground in a third thud. A fourth landing makes its noise and a figure lands next Mikari.

The alley's exit were blocked off by three masked people.

"Shit…" Harro mutters quietly.

Author's Note: The chapters after this chapter will always be bigger than this chapter unless I have reached my set due dates in which I forget to do something.

Additionally, this story takes place in a alternate universe in which the character's of the canon Tokyo Ghoul are not present.
