Two figures, one dark haired and petite, the other tall and silver haired, sat under a large Sakura tree, which protected them from the heavy rain.
"Do you love me?" asked the girl.
"Is the grass green?" asked the boy.
The girl giggled and leaned back against the boy before opening her mouth again.
"Am I pretty?" she inquired. The boy snorted.
"Am I handsome?" The girl laughed and lightly punched the guy, who feigned pain and fell over onto the grass. The girl laughed again and rested her head on the silver haired demons muscular chest.
"If I die, will you miss me?" she looked innocently up at him with her large chocolate brown eyes.
"Stop asking such silly questions which you already know the answer to," he answered. She grinned and relaxed for a while more before the boy spoke.
"I'm going to fight at the war," he blurted out, looking away from the girl, who sat up suddenly.
"But, you could get hurt! Or you could-you could-d-d-die!" she started crying at the last word. The boy held her to him tightly and tried to soothe her.
"I'll come back unharmed," he assured the sobbing girl. She raised her head and looked at him with her tear filled eyes.
"What if you don't?" she started to wail again.
"I'll come back to you," he promised.
"And marry me?" she wanted to know.
"Am I Lord Sesshomaru of the West?" he drawled. The girl started to giggle again. Together they leaned back against each other and watched the rain fall.
After many minutes the girl spoke up again.
"You know, I'm going to hold you to that promise," she stated. The boy smirked.
"I never expected anything but, Kagome," he hugged her to him again and they went back to asking their childish questions with the even more childish answers.
