Nico POV
I closed the door to my room in the Underworld.
A few minutes ago, my father got mad at me because when I shadow traveled into the Underworld, my father was in a busy meeting with Thanatos. I interrupted their meeting and my father got mad, I wanted to think he was just stressed and just had to burst at one point, but as his yelling continued, that hope disappeared.
The thing that made me break was when he told me that he regretted letting me live here and that he hated me and wanted me to leave and never come back.
That's why I'm here now.
Tears threatened to spill as I packed. I held them in because I am a son of Hades and sons of Hades don't cry.
I decide I would go to Percy's place until I figured something out.
As I packed my pictures, I came upon one picture where my father was smiling, which is area sight, while he had his arm around me.
When I saw it, I sank to my knees and my tears came out and sobs wracked my body.
I didn't hear the door open, so when Persephone started comforting me, I was surprised but I cursed myself for being so weak. I was really surprised when Persephone started comforting me because she always ignored me except for that family spat when she turned me into a dandelion. When I stopped crying I looked up and was surprised to see pity, comfort, and sympathy in Persephone's eyes.
She told me that she heard my father yelling and saw him yell at me and saw me leave. She talked to my father but he wouldn't listen.
Persephone then told me why she ignored me. Apparently, she likes me, she just can't stand the fact that she doesn't have children and that my father won't let her near me after the dandelion incident. She was sorry and just had a breaking point for her stress.
Persephone gave me a proposition, when she is in the world above, I would go with her and be like the son she never had. While, when she was down here, I would stay at either of the two camps.
I accepted.
This proposition ensured that I could spend time with her, kind of like mother and son, and still see my friends and train. It also ensured that I wouldn't have to stay in the Underworld, though I would miss Cerberus and the visits to my friends in Elysium.
Persephone helped me pack though she took the picture and put a note on it that says:
Dear Dad,
I left the Underworld with all my stuff except for this picture. One day, I hope you will regret letting me leave. This is just a reminder of what we used to have. I will always love you.

Persephone put it on their bed where he would definitely see it.
Persephone was scheduled to leave in a week so I would stay with Percy for a week. After, Persephone would take me and we'd hang out.
Before I left, I told my friends in Elysium where I would go and said goodbye. When I said goodbye to Cerberus, he howled mournfully and licked me all over.
As I left the Underworld, I couldn't help but feel happy and free. I said bye to Charon and entered the mortal world and my new life.
