Brief
'Finally, I can go home and relax for the weekend now.' Beth said pleased, to the University class mate next to her. Her friend giggled as they got up and left the class. Beth was almost sprinting down the corridor to her car. Finally bumping in to her car, she pulls the door open and climbs in. Yanking on her seatbelt, she shoved the key in the hole and drove home.
After a 10 minutes drive through town, she made it back home to her little apartment. She had been waiting to get home, the moment she left. She had met this guy online. He told her his name was Daryl, she thought it was cute of course.
She ran up the stairs to her apartment, room 304. She set her stuff down onto the floor and grabbed her computer. It made a little ping as she turned it on, all fired up, she opened the previous chats.
'Hi Daryl, how was your day?' She sent him, excited for his reply.
'Hey girl my day is better now you are messaging me.' He replied, making beth giggle to herself.
'How was your day?' He typed up quickly realising he hadn't asked her.
'Oh you know, just like any other, educational.' She answered.
Suddenly a part of her favourite song started playing and she looked around the room confused, until she realised her phone was calling. She jumped up and grabbed her bag pulling out her phone.
She read 'Maggie' her sister was calling her, so she answered. If she hadn't Maggie would have called and called and called.
'Hello Maggie, whats up?' Beth asked
'Hey Beth! Come out with us tonight?' Maggie suggested.
'Oh Maggie, I don't know, I'm really busy tonight.' Beth lied. She didn't have anything planned for the evening.
'Oh c'mon! You never come out with us anymore. One night isn't going to hurt! You'll be fine Monday.' Maggie tried to sound convincing.
Beth signed. 'Alright! What time and are you coming for me?'
'Awesome! We'll be there for 7pm, so be ready!' Maggie rushed to say
'Okay, s-' Beth was cut off by the buzzing noise after Maggie hung up.
She threw the phone down on to the couch and trotted off to her bedroom, opened up her wardrobe and picked out a sparkly little red top, with little straps as sleeves and some jet black skinny jeans. She laid them out on her bed and grabbed her black wedges and placed them on the floor near her outfit. She took a quick shower with only having 35 minutes before Maggie would show up. Beth started to get ready, then she thought
'I should probably say bye to him.' Althought Beth and Daryls conversations were brief sometimes, she felt rude not saying bye.
As she was rigging up her computer the doorbell rings. 'Shit.' She thought. She quickly typed in her password and clicked up the chat site.
'I'm off out tonight Daryl, talk to you later!' She wrote, slamming her computer lid shut as the door started to open.
'Are you ready Beth?' Maggie called as Beth shot up and start heading back to the bathroom.
'Almost ready Maggie, give me 5 minutes!' She was looking in the bathroom mirror as she slapped on some eye-liner, eye-shadow and red lippy. Maggie watched her come out of the bathroom and into her bedroom across the hall.
'Beth c'mon! Hurry up!' Maggie cried out, walking down the hall and seeing Beth pull on her wedges. Beth stood up and sighed.
'OK. Now I am ready.' She spoke grabbing her purse, that had her ID and money in.
Both of them headed out of the apartment together and down to the first floor. Tara and Rosita were waiting in Tara's car. Beth could see them singing and dancing in the car, music blasting. She climbed in to the back of the car and Tara spoke 'ready guys?'
'Sure are' Maggie replied as Beth smiled and nodded.
They drove off, heading in to the town centre. Tara pulled in to a side street to park her car for the night. All 4 of them left the car and heading to the first club in sight.
'Don't forget to be careful of who you talk to guys and if any of us end up split up don't tell anyone who you really are, don't need no stalkers.' Maggie was almost instructing everyone. She always took safety to the next level. Maggie looked across at Beth, who was looking back.
'Did you get that Beth?' Maggie asked.
'Yes Maggie, I know your rules by now.' She replied.
They headed towards a club with a short queue, it was called 'Lounge'. After 15 minutes of waiting, they were in.
'I'll get the first drinks, you guys find a table.' Beth said making her way to the bar.
'Hi, can I have 4 fruit cocktails please.' She asked the bar tender. She fiddles with the money fo a moment until she looks up. She sees a guy looking at her, so intensely, making her feel a little uncomfortable.
'Here you go miss.' Say the bartender. She hands him the money and take the drinks back to the table, giving the guy another glance.
'Thanks Beth.' The girls say, as she sits down. The girls neck their drinks and get up to dance leaving Beth to sit alone whilst she finishes hers. Beth looks up and sees the guy walking towards her, she avoids looking at him hoping he doesn't come near her. She looked back down at her drink taking a sip through the straw.
'Hey.' She heard a rugged voice coming from above her. She looked up to see the man sitting down. She shuffles a little bit, feeling uncomfotable.
'Uhm, hello..' She replies.
