"Hold up WOMBAT-SAN!" Yumoto once again was chasing the little pink fluffball just like any other day.
"Stop! This is harassment!"Wombat yelled as he dash further away from the young blond boy. The two were in a game of cat-and-mouse in front of the Kurotamayu bath house. Wombat soon started jumping up the stairs and Yumoto soon follows. But then … Yumoto tripped and tumbled backwards. As he embraced himself for the hard concrete ground, a flash under him appeared. Surprisingly, Yumoto did not landed on the ground. Instead, two pair of arms caught him as he fell.
Yumoto looked up to thank his savior,"Thank you, Mist...er?" What he expected to be a man turned out to be a beautiful girl.
"Are you alright?" The girl asked as Yumoto stayed frozen in her arms.
Yumoto face flustered and look away from her face."I...I...am fi...fine!" Yumoto stumbled on his words, unaware of what to do.
The girl smile sweetly,"I'm glad that you are okay." As she place the young boy down, Yumoto got a better look at her. She had black hair that reaches her shoulders and hazel eyes that looked like chocolate. She wore a highschool uniform that belong to the all boys academy's sister school, Yukimura all girls academy.
The girl look at her watch and spoke alertly,"Oh no! I'm going to be late! " She petted Yumoto on the head as she dash towards the stairs."Goodbye and be safe!"
Yumot, realizing what happened, turned around and yelled,"MY NAME IS YUMOTO HAKONE! WHAT"S YOURS?"
The girl looked back and smiled. "MY NAME IS AI SUZUKI! NICE TO MEET YOU,HAKONE-SAN!" she replied and left the young boy to blush shyly away.
Ai Suzuki… huh. Yumoto looked toward where the girl left, trying to keep his beating heart still.
The whole earth defense club were both relieved and terrified. They were relieved that Yumoto was quiet for everyone to relax but he didn't even move which terrified them so. Finally, Atsushi was the one to speak up. "Yumoto-kun, are you alright?"
The other three lean in to hear the reply. Yumoto crossed his arms on the table, place his chin in them, and looked away from the others.
"I'm fine. Just thinking of something." Yumoto remembered the girl who had saved him yesterday and blushed softly. What...HAPPEN TO HIM!? Everyone was thinking the same question. Even wombat was a little concern. Yesterday when the two was in their chasing game, Yumoto all of a sudden stopped and went home with a strange expression on his face. And today, Yumoto didn't even attempted to cuddle the pink little alien.
En sighed. "Aren't you a little interested in cuddling?"
Yumoto looked at Wombat. "I rather cuddle something else."
What should we do?!
Just then, the lovelets shine, alerting the team that evil have rise.
"Go, protectors of love!" As the team race out to find the monsters, they were worried when Yumoto came with no motivation. Was he sick or something?!
The team transform and started fighting the monster, which this time around looked like a trashcan.
"I am going to dirty this place up! See if they like it when they are called junk!" The monster yelled. As the team was about to strike, a giant raccoon came and attacked the trashcan. The raccoon looked like a demon as it started shredding the trash can face off. Soon, the trash can passed out and returned to the student self. The monstrous raccoon looked at the love club and started racing over towards them. It was quick like lightning as its claws and teeth sharpened to kill the boys. Yumoto, noticing that all of them could get hurt, ran in front of everyone to protect them. The raccoon swung it claws to attempt hurting the boys. Yumoto close his eyes only to notice that when the raccoon was suppose to hit them, it didn't happened. He opened his eyes to see the raccoon's hand was stabbed by a sword. He look to see who owned the sword, and he came face to face with a man in a black outfit with a red coat over it. The man wore a dark helmet to hide his face. He slice open the raccoon's hand to release his sword, resulting in the raccoon shrieking loudly. It pulled back away from the shock and stared with beady eyes at the man who had stopped it. It hissed as the man walk calm at it. The man stopped and looked back at the high schoolers, "Are you alright?"
Bewildered, the group nodded. But Yumoto only stared. He felt the same sensation as when Ai saved him. He held his heart as he felt the man's eyes piece him.
" Thank you for stopping the beast," Atsushi said.
"Yeah, thanks. We're fine now."En walked towards the man and try pushing the dark knight away with his hand, only to have it rejected.
Ryuu looked up and said,"Hey! we already thank you. What made you think you're better than us?"
"And we never asked you to protect us. We don't want to waste money on a rude person like you, anyways," Io defended his friend as the man held on to En's hand.
"Forgive me, but this monster is my fight. You only got caught in the crossfire." The man released En's hand.
"Hey-" Yumoto grabbed on to the man's coat tail. As he did, he felt his face blush and his legs going weak. What now? Yumoto stood still as he and the man stood face to face.
"HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ME!"The raccoon yelled as it race over and jumped, shadowing the dark knight. The man pulled Yumoto close to him and struck the raccoon down with a single swung of his sword. There was a giant gap in the raccoon's chest and a black crystal was released from it. The dark knight let go of Yumoto. He then caught the crystal and crushed it inside his palm. The raccoon passed out and turned into … a high school girl. The dark knight picked up the girl and placed her over his shoulder.
"Again,please forgive me. I didn't intend for anyone to get hurt."
As he turned away, Yumoto asked,"Who are you?"
He faced them one last time," I am the vigilante of justice who will cut down all that tries to release evil in the world. The dark knight,Zero.
I hope we meet again, battle lovers. " He returned to exit from the scene. Soon, he was out of the battle lovers' sight.
"Who was that… Zero? And how did he know that you were the battle lovers?"Wombat asked as the young boys were left in confusion.
From afar, another group was watching the marvelous battle.
"Wow, that guy was so scary. I got chills watching him." Akoya hugged himself from watching a man in black destroyed a monster twice his size.
"He is truly outstanding. Maybe if we trick him, we can make him part of the student council. What do you think, Kinshiro-san?"
Kinshiro stared down at what just took place. "That's-"
"That's unlikely."A mysterious voice said. The student council turned around to see a man in a white general uniform with a white helmet on. "That person, Zero, is not an idiot. He won't fall for evil that easily."
"How did you got here?" Ibushi stepped in to confront the man when Thunder stopped him.
"Don't even try, my servants. This man… is too dangerous." The group stared at the hedgehog.
"You should listen to your little pet. Don't come close to me unless you want to get hurt." The man passed them to the building's edge.
"What do you want?" Kinshiro asked with poison in his words.
The man turned around, and spoke with a little smirk,"I want the same thing as you. To conquer this world." The man spread out his arms to take in the air."I guess the only different with you and me is that, to conquer this world is not with releasing all the evil in a person… but to let their sins kill themselves. That way, you won't have to bother getting your hands dirty with blood. Especially when the blood comes from human genocide." The man chuckled into the sky as the student council looked at the horror in front of them. This man… wants all people to die? What type of psycho was that?
"But...how… who do you think you are to determine that the best way to conquer the world by destroying humans?"
"Me? Why I am the person who will return this world to its rightful glory by removing the human , the great angel that has fallen to fix this world, Lucifer." The man jumped off the building. The group ran over to the edge to find no one there falling into the ground. The man Lucifer had disappear.
The dark knight rushed over into her home and took off her helmet to breathe. Ai let a loud sigh. She couldn't believe that the raccoon almost harmed the group of heroes that called themselves battle lovers.(She knew because she heard them transformed and say cheesy lines.) She quickly took off her dark knight uniform and put on her pajamas.
"How was it today, Ai-chan." The teenage girl looked over to see the indigo she-wolf watching her.
"It was fine , Midnight." Ai looked up to the ceiling and looked at her hand. Why did it felt so familiar when I held on to the one named Sarclet?
"Hey, you know anything about a group called battler lovers?"
"Battle lovers?That sound like shit you hear on a certain planet that … well…. loves love. And no I haven't have that name in my data yet. Why do you ask?"
"Nothing. Anyways, have you found out where Lucifer's hideout is?"
"Currently, no. But I have found some strange forces around a place called Kurotamayu bath house. Should we investigate the place?"
Ai thought back to yesterday when she past a place called Kurotamayu when she tried a new shortcut to get back home. Then she remember about the boy she saved near the stairs, a certain Yumoto Hakone. She smile.
"Sure. And I think I know someone who could help us."
"Great. When should we investigate?"
"Sometime in the future. Right now, I just want to sleep from a long day."
"Of course, Ai-chan."
That night, Ai dreamt about a certain blond boy,likewise he was dreaming of her.
