Disclaimer: I do not own Night World or The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones).

I watched amused as Delos was pressing random buttons on the remote control.

He pressed a certain button making the radio come on and Delos jump in surprise.

"What's that?" he asked as I lightly laughed at him.

"That's the radio Delos." I told him, thinking of the car ride to the mansion. When he heard the radio in the car, he insisted it was somebody talking to him telepathically.

It took me about an hour or two to make him understand what a radio was, and that nobody was talking to him in his head.

"Why'd you turn it on?"

"I didn't. You did." I told him matter-of-factly.

He scrunched his face in what looked like a mixture of confusion and defense, "I'm way over here," Delos said, gesturing to the couch he was sitting on, "how could I possibly have turned it on when I haven't moved?"

I smiled at him, partly amused because he didn't understand much in this world, and partly sympathetic for the very same reason. "The remote."

"Excuse me?"

"That thing you're holding is called a remote control. You pressed the button that turns on the radio."

"Oh." he said still looking a little confused, but going back to pressing buttons anyways.

Having (slightly) explained remote controls to Delos, I looked around the room for my book, City of Bones.

I rummaged through the table beside the bed before remembering I let Gillian borrow it.

"Hey, I'm gonna go get my book back from Jill. Try not to break anything while I'm gone, okay?"

He looked up at me with a sarcastic expression, "Yes mother."

I glared at him before exiting the room to go look for Gillian.

"Hey Jill," I said as I found her in the living room, "Are you done with the book yet?"

"Actually-" she started, but was interupted by what sounded like...screaming?

"What was-"

This time I heard it clearer. It was definitely screaming.

Gillian and I darted towards the direction we heard the screaming.

As we edged in on where the noise was coming from, I realized two things. One: the room was Delos's and my room. And two: not only was I hearing screaming, but also drums and a guitar.

I yanked open the door to be greeted with music so loud it was almost like you were actually at the concert, right by the speakers.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Gillian throw her hands over her ears and start backing away.

I focused my eyes toward the center of the room to see a horrified looking Delos, frantically hitting every button on the remote.

He looked up at me, horrified expression still intact, "I think I broke it!" he yelled both mentally, and out loud.

I threw my hands over my ears and bolted for the radio, turning the dial until the music had completely stopped.

I heard a crash and turned to see the remote broken on the floor next to Delos.

"Delos, you broke it!" I exclaimed, pointing to the broken remote control.

"It's evil! You heard what it did!"

I was going to retort, but instead, I just laughed.

Delos looked at me annoyedly, "What's so funny?"

I smiled at him, "I love you Delos." I told him as I wrapped my arms around his waist.

He seemed confused by my change in attitude, but still immediately responded to my hug by wrapping his arms around me.

"No matter how clueless you are."

"Hey!"

I simply laughed at him and squeezed him tighter.

A/N: Okay. This is my first (failed) attempt at writing something...good. I personally am not satisfied. At all. Only uploading out of boredom. So, I want your honest opinions please. I can only get better if I know what I'm doing wrong. :)
