"Light-kun," the cute chibi L called out to Light, wiping the sleep out of his eyes. He got out of his bed and slunk over to the kitchen. The scene that lay before the tiny tot was truly a weird one. The honey-haired man was wearing a pink apron, covered in flour, and holding a cook book dangerously close to the oven. The oven was open, showing off some sort of dirt-looking cake, which was most likely burnt.
His eyes widened and in his monotone he asked "Light-kun, what are you doing?"
Said brunet turned around and smiled at L, cookbook SO close to the oven that L could already hear the sirens ringing in the distance. "I'm baking you a cake."
"Are you trying to get in my good graces?" wondered the tyke.
"Maybe..." Light teased and held out the page on the book he was looking at to L.
L tried not to drool, he really did. The image of the finished cake was too much for his greedy eyes! Chocolate syrup drenched over vanilla icing, and strawberries were arranged around it all in a circular shape. The moist-looking cake under it was made of brownies and L felt his heart stop.
Smirking, hazel eyes glinted. "I had a feeling you would like it." L snapped out of his mental sugar high and glared in despair at the war-zone that was the kitchen. "Can we buy it at the store instead?" he inquired.
The older-looking man sighed. "Yeah. That's a good idea." After the cake was bought, L looked up at Light, thumb in mouth.
"Thank you Light-kun."
"Welcome."
