Silent Whispers
It was midnight and Signum was sittin on a lawn chair on the roof staring up at the full moon. She heard the door to the roof open and Shamal came and sat next to her. She too, looked a the moon. After a few minutes, Signum looked at Shamal. She's so beautiful, she thought, returning her gaze to the moon. Signum was normally composed and seemed a bit steely to others but when she was around Shamal, her facial expressions softened and her whole body relaxed ever so slightly. A warm feeling always flowed through her being and her heart beat faster. Her breath hitched when a cloud suddenly revealed the moon, basking both of them in moonlight. Signum gazed at Shamal with eyes full of so much love that it was impossible to miss how head-over-heels she was for Shamal. Shamal looked at her with equally loving eyes and the pink-haired knight couldn't help but stare. Shamal got up slowly and walked over to Signum, whose heart beat even faster as she got closer. Shamal smiled at Signum and sat on her lap and embraced her. Signum stiffened and hesitantly hugged her back. Slowly, she began to relax again. Shamal giggled and pulled back to look at Signum who, ubelievably, was blushing a light shade of rose. Shamal's eyes widened a bit but then she smiled and was secretly happy that she was able to get this kind of reaction from this normally composed warrior. She giggled again and Signum looked down at her, somewhat embarrassed and smiled a bit sheepishly. Hugging Shamal tighter, she buried her face in Shamal's neck to hide her embarrassment. Shamal rested her cheek against Signum's head and sighed, contented. After what seemed like an eternity but was really only a few minutes, Signum lifted her head and gently caressed her secret lover's cheek. She leaned in, hesitantly, and kissed Shamal for the first time and Shamal gasped into the kiss because she never expected a kiss, just the normal cuddling. Still a little shocked, she kissed back, wrapping her arms around Signum's neck. When Signum broke the kiss, they were both a little breathless. Signum touched her forehead to Shamal's and gazed into her eyes.
Unbeknownst to them, Yagami Hayate was watching her two protectors with a certain satisfaction. She had known for quite a while that, even though they didn't show it, both Signum and Shamal were deeply in lov with each other. She had been trying to formulate a plan to get those two together but, after what she just witnessed, she decided she didn't need a plan. Quietly, she went back to her room and got into bed with her lover, Vita. She smiled contentedly and snuggled closer to Vita and closed her eyes.
