Those chains bounded them for months, it became their connection. Sometimes they complete each other sentence, like reading each mind. They both felt something flowing through the chains from the other side and yet they didn't want to tell each other their feelings, they kept it inside them until ….

It was Christmas Eve, all the police officers went to their homes because L gave them a day off for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Light didn't want to leave, he wanted to stay with L. Misa cried because she had to work on commercial for something (Don't ask me what!) so she couldn't stay with the love of her life Light. L and Light stayed in front of the computers, trying to find about Kira's next victims and so on. Hours passed quickly and there was still silence between them. Light broke the silence and asked:

" Ryzaki , can I ask you question ? " L turned to him and nodded.

" Have you ever fell in love with someone ? " Light turned his head to him . L thought for a while and said :

" No , have you ? " Light pulled the chain towards him and L fell on him. Light put forehead on L's and whispered:

" You … " L smiled lightly and rested his head on Light's lab . Light moved his hands through L's black silky hair and said:

" Thanks for being my friend " L raised his head and said :

" Can I ask you for a favor ? " Light nodded and sat down on the floor where L sat.

" Stay with me tonight " L confessed . Light embraced him and whispered to him:

" Forever … "

The next morning, everyone arrived to the building to continue their work on Kira's case. Matsuda looked around and asked :

" Where's L and Light ? " They looked through every room in the building until Matsuda opened Light and L's bedroom. Light was shirtless and he was sleeping on L's chest peacefully. Matsuda raised his eye brows when he saw that scene and when L smiled slowly. Matsuda closed the door quietly , he was still in shock. You didn't see anything … Matsuda said to himself and went to where others were gathering.
